CADA announces new Board and Executive Committee

November 2, 2026

The Canadian Automobile Dealers Association (CADA) is welcoming five new members to its Board of Directors and introducing a new Executive Committee as the association begins its 2026–2027 leadership term.

The changes take effect October 28, 2026, and include the appointment of Craig Dunn as Chair, succeeding Michael Croxon, who moves into the role of Immediate Past Chair.

Adil Ahamed becomes First Vice-Chair, while Norman Hébert moves from Secretary-Treasurer to Second Vice-Chair. Patrick O'Regan takes over as Secretary-Treasurer, and Paul Williams becomes Senior Past Chair.

The association is also welcoming five new directors representing dealerships across Canada:

  • André-Martin Hobbs (Québec) — Groupe Côté Automobile, Montréal.
  • Erin Dobson (New Brunswick) — Dobson Group, Sussex.
  • Carlee Fraser (Ontario) — Fraser Auto Group, Oshawa.
  • Rick Wright (British Columbia) — Valley Mitsubishi, Kelowna.
  • Kent Magnuson (British Columbia) — Metro Motors, Port Coquitlam.

The incoming members bring experience from different regions and dealership operations, adding fresh perspectives to the Board as it helps guide CADA's national priorities and advocacy efforts.

"One of CADA's greatest strengths is the commitment of the dealers who volunteer their time to serve on our Board," said Tim Reuss, CADA's President and CEO. "We are pleased to welcome our new members and look forward to working with them. We are also grateful to those completing their terms for their dedication, guidance and contributions to the association and the dealers we represent."

CADA also extends a special thank-you to Jonathan Hickman, who is concluding his service on the Executive Committee, most recently as Senior Past Chair. His leadership, experience and commitment to representing dealers have been greatly appreciated throughout his time serving the association.

CADA extends its appreciation to six outgoing Board members who have completed their terms:

  • Jacques Olivier Jr. (Quebec)
  • Justin Hal Somers (New Brunswick)
  • Richard (Rick) Blacker (Ontario)
  • Dave Bare (British Columbia)
  • Asgar Virji (British Columbia)
  • Jonathan Hickman (Atlantic Canada)

The Executive Committee provides leadership and oversight as CADA works with governments, manufacturers and provincial dealer associations on issues affecting Canada's franchised new car and truck dealers.
