Grand Wagoneer
The Grand Wagoneer is the entry trim, and it already reads like a top trim on most SUVs. According to Stellantis Canada, the 2027 Grand Wagoneer lists the 3.0 litre Hurricane twin turbo engine with an eight speed automatic, Quadra-Trac I four wheel drive, a Trac-Lok rear differential, the Selec-Terrain traction management system, a Class IV hitch with 7 and 4 pin wiring and an engine block heater. It lists 18 inch machined face wheels, LED headlamps with automatic high beams, heated power mirrors, a hands free power liftgate, fixed side steps and roof rails. Inside, it lists Capri leather faced seats for seven with second row captain's chairs, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, tri zone automatic temperature control and Uconnect 5 NAV with a 12 inch touchscreen. Its safety list includes adaptive cruise control with stop and go, Level 2 active driving assist with lane centring, blind spot detection with rear cross path detection and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. A block heater on the standard list is worth more in Portage in January than any screen.
Limited Altitude
The Limited Altitude is the Grand Wagoneer for the family that uses every row. According to Stellantis Canada, the 2027 Limited Altitude lists Nappa leather faced seats in Black or Sea Salt, heated second row seats, a power fold and recline third row, auto power folding mirrors, black exterior accents and 20 inch wheels. Jeep Canada's 2027 models page lists the same Nappa leather, heated second row seats and power third row on its Limited Altitude cards. Heated second row seats earn their keep on the drive home from a cold arena.
Upland
The Upland is the Grand Wagoneer for the buyer whose driveway is gravel, and it comes on the standard wheelbase only. According to Stellantis Canada, the 2027 Upland adds over the Grand Wagoneer 20 inch black wheels with all terrain tires, an electronic rear limited differential, a 3.92 axle ratio, an active two speed transfer case and skid plates. It also adds integrated trailer brake control, trailer hitch zoom, blind spot monitoring with trailer detection, Selec-Speed Control, front tow hooks with a removable rear tow hook and adjustable roof rail crossbars. Jeep Canada's 2027 Upland card lists a tri pane panoramic sunroof, skid plate shields for the fuel tank, transfer case and front axle, a 360 surround view camera and a black roof. Jeep Canada's Upland card also lists Quadra-Lift air suspension with semi active damping, while Stellantis Canada's 2027 trim material lists adaptive damping suspension on the Upland and Quadra-Lift on the Overland, so read the window sticker for the suspension on a given unit.
Overland
The Overland is new for 2027, and Stellantis Canada pitches it as off road luxury. According to Stellantis Canada, it adds over the Limited Altitude leather faced bucket seats with Overland embossing, body colour fender flares, 22 inch wheels, silver metallic tow hooks, a 12 inch driver information display and an augmented head up display. It also adds a McIntosh premium audio system, Quadra-Lift air suspension, parallel and perpendicular park and unpark assist, side distance warning and a 360 degree surround view camera. Summit
The Summit is the comfort trim. According to Stellantis Canada, it adds over the Overland a black roof, premium Nappa leather faced seats with Summit embossing, power front seats with seatback massage and memory for the driver and front passenger, and four zone automatic temperature control. It also lists real wood interior accents, a digital rearview mirror, automatic brake hold and power deployable running boards. Jeep Canada's 2027 Summit cards list the seatback massaging front seats and four zone temperature control. Power running boards help when the door sill sits above a snowbank and the kids are in boots.
Summit Obsidian
The Summit Obsidian is the Summit with a darker look. According to Stellantis Canada, it adds over the Summit 22 inch wheels with black inserts, a titanium upper grille applique, black exterior accents and black chiseled metal interior accents. Jeep Canada's 2027 Summit Obsidian cards list the black chiseled metal interior accents, and its standard wheelbase Summit Obsidian card lists the black exterior accents.
Summit Reserve
The Summit Reserve is the top of the lineup. According to Stellantis Canada, it adds over the Summit premium leather trimmed bucket seats, a suede headliner, a full length premium floor console, a 23 speaker McIntosh audio system and ventilated rear seats. The Engine and Four Wheel Drive
3.0 litre Hurricane twin turbo inline six. Jeep Canada lists this engine, which it calls the Hurricane SO (standard output), on its 2027 Grand Wagoneer models, with Stop/Start and an eight speed automatic. The specifications on Jeep Canada's 2027 capability page list 420 horsepower and 468 lb ft of torque, and one line elsewhere on that page prints 486 lb ft. 4x4 hardware. According to Stellantis Canada, the Grand Wagoneer lists Quadra-Trac I four wheel drive with a Trac-Lok rear differential, and the Upland adds an active two speed transfer case and an electronic rear limited differential. Jeep Canada's 2027 capability page describes an available active two speed transfer case that delivers added torque when extra capability is needed, and available Quadra-Drive II, which it says directs power to the wheel with the most traction. Jeep Canada says the Grand Wagoneer L adds 447 litres (15.8 cu ft) of cargo space behind the third row, which is the difference between three hockey bags fitting behind a full third row on a tournament weekend in Brandon or riding on laps. The Upland comes on the standard wheelbase only, so a buyer who wants both the Upland's off road hardware and the L's cargo space has to pick one.
Then the tires. Four wheel drive helps a Grand Wagoneer get moving on a glazed field approach; winter tires help it stop and steer. The winter set you shop for starts from the tire size on your Grand Wagoneer's door placard.
