The Limited is the first of the two 2027 L models, and it is where Stellantis Canada lists the six seats. According to Stellantis Canada, the 2027 Limited lists the 2.0 litre Hurricane 4 Turbo with Engine Stop/Start, Quadra-Trac I four wheel drive, the Selec-Terrain traction management system, a 3.70 rear axle ratio, a 240 amp alternator and heavy duty engine cooling. It lists 20 inch machined painted wheels, heated exterior mirrors with memory settings and turn signals, front LED fog lamps and automatic high beam control. Inside, it lists driver's seat memory, an eight way power front passenger seat, a nine speaker audio system with a subwoofer, Uconnect 5 NAV with a 12.3 inch touchscreen and a universal garage door opener. Stellantis Canada also lists what the three row body adds to the Limited, set out under Seats, Third Row and Cargo below. Automatic high beams earn their keep on a dark grid road home after a late game in January.
Summit
The Summit is the top of the 2027 L. According to Stellantis Canada's 2027 trim material, the Summit lists Quadra-Drive II four wheel drive, Quadra-Lift air suspension with semi active damping, a rear electronic limited slip differential and hill descent control. It lists 21 inch black aluminum wheels, a black painted roof, painted door cladding, LED front cornering fog lamps and a Class IV hitch receiver with 7 and 4 pin wiring and trailer hitch zoom. Inside, it lists Palermo leather seats with ventilated front and second row seats, and 12 way power front seats with seatback massage and memory. It also lists four zone automatic temperature control and a 19 speaker McIntosh audio system with a 950 watt amplifier. That trim material gives the Summit one list and does not split it by body, so the window sticker on a given L Summit is the final word, and it is also where the Summit's engine and seat count show. Seats, Third Row and Cargo
Seats. According to Stellantis Canada, the three row body adds six passenger seating to the 2027 Limited, with second row captain's chairs that have a manual easy entry slide and manual folding seatbacks. Its third row is a 50/50 split folding seat with manual adjustment and power folding headrests. The third row also lists USB charging ports, LED reading lamps, cup holders and its own floor mats, and the cabin lists three zone automatic temperature control. Stellantis Canada's trim material prints no seat count for the Summit, so the window sticker shows the seating on a given Summit.
Cargo. Jeep Canada's 2027 Grand Cherokee page says that with the Grand Cherokee L, folding the second and third row seats down gives 2,395 L (84.6 cu ft) of cargo space. With both rows down, that is the space for a weekend's load to the cabin in the Whiteshell.
Engines and Four Wheel Drive
2.0 litre Hurricane 4 Turbo. Stellantis Canada's 2027 trim material lists it, with Engine Stop/Start, on the Limited. Jeep Canada's 2027 capability page lists it at up to 324 horsepower and up to 332 lb ft. The same page lists the 3.6 litre Pentastar V6 on Laredo models, and Stellantis Canada's trim material lists no Laredo in the 2027 L lineup. 4x4 systems. Jeep Canada's 2027 capability page describes Quadra-Trac I as full time four wheel drive without any driver input and lists it as available on the Limited, and Stellantis Canada's trim material lists it on the Limited too. Quadra-Drive II adds an electronic limited slip rear differential that Jeep Canada says can send up to 100 percent of torque to a single rear wheel. Jeep Canada lists it as available on the Summit, and Stellantis Canada's trim material lists it for the Summit. The window sticker names the system on a given L.
Air suspension and traction modes. Stellantis Canada's trim material lists Quadra-Lift air suspension with semi active damping on the Summit, and Jeep Canada's 2027 capability page says the available Quadra-Lift automatically lowers at highway speeds. Stellantis Canada's trim material and Jeep Canada's capability page both list the Selec-Terrain traction management system on the Limited.
Towing and Fuel
Towing. Jeep Canada's 2027 Grand Cherokee capability page lists the Hurricane 4 Turbo at up to 2,812 kg (6,200 lb) of towing. Its footnote says the figure is for a vehicle properly equipped, and that additional options, equipment, passengers and cargo weight may affect towing weights. That page prints no separate towing figure for the three row L, so ask our team for the rating on the exact Grand Cherokee L you are looking at. Stellantis Canada lists a Class IV hitch receiver with 7 and 4 pin wiring on the Summit; the Limited's list names no hitch, so ask our team whether a given Limited has one.
Manitoba Public Insurance's Trailer Safety brochure says that if a trailer's registered gross vehicle weight is more than 1,360 kg (2,998 lb), the law says it must have brakes. That is well under the maximum above, so a trailer registered anywhere near that maximum needs its own brakes.
